Charlie barely 9 hours old!

4th April - a foal arrives!

Art Series' long awaited foal arrives at The Recuperation Centre.

Art's foal was due on St Patrick's Day - the 17th March 2009.

Her first foal was over 2 weeks overdue so it came as no real surprise when nothing happened on the 17th March nor the 18th...19th, 20th, 21st.....

Art's foal finally arrived at 12:10am on Saturday morning the 4th of April. Jo had her CCTV camera set up so had been watching Art for some 3 weeks for signs of the birth. As soon as Art was showing signs of the birth being imminent she was there to help things along if she was required. It was a text book birth and a gorgeous chestnut colt was born healthy. Art Series is a perfect Mum and allowed Jo to clean her up and make her and the foal comfortable for the rest of the evening.

"Charlie" is a Chestnut has 3 white socks and a flashy blaze.

Charlie's other Mum, Kathy Anderson was soon on the scene to see the new arrival!
